The index measures the change in the number of unemployed people in Germany during the previous month. The increase in the indicator demonstrates weakness of the labor market and has a negative impact on consumer spending and, consequently, on economic growth. A lower than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for EUR, while a higher than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for EUR. The index is expected to grow from -12K to -8K.
