The indicator measures the volume of all goods sold by retailers based on a sample of New Zealand retail stores of various types and sizes. It is an important indicator of consumer spending that has a significant impact on GDP. It is expected that the indicator will grow from 0.2% to 0.5% QoQ and from 2.9% to 3.1% YoY. The implementation of the forecast may support the New Zealand dollar.
