At 03:30 (GMT+2), data on the consumer price index in China for July will be released. It is the main indicator of the inflation rate in the country and determines the change in the level of retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services (food, transport, utilities, health care, and so on). It is forecasted that the index will grow from –0.1% to 0.2% MoM and will remain at the same level of 2.7% YoY. The implementation of the forecast may support the European currency.
