The core retail sales index reflects changes in monthly US retail sales excluding car sales. It is an important indicator of consumer spending, as well as the pace of development of the American economy. The data above the expected strengthen the USD, and the data below the expected put pressure on the national currency. The index is expected to decline from 0.9% to 0.3%.
